knowing if it worked.

Why is my cost per order going up?

the short answer.

Most often the creative has tired, the audience is saturated, or you scaled faster than the account could absorb. Seasonality and more competitors bidding for the same people matter too — but check frequency and your change history before assuming the market moved.

check these, in this order.

  • Frequency: if it is climbing, the same people are seeing the same ad too often.
  • Change history: a big budget jump or an audience edit restarts learning.
  • Creative age: when did the current winner first run?
  • Landing page: did something break, slow down or go out of stock?

scaling too fast looks like a market problem.

Doubling a budget overnight pushes delivery into a broader, less interested audience and costs rise immediately. Raise it in steps and let each step stabilise.

sometimes the market really did move.

Ramadan, Eid and major sale periods pull more advertisers into the auction and reaching the same person costs more. That is real, but it is the last explanation to reach for, not the first.
