knowing if it worked.
Why did my ads stop working after a couple of weeks?
the short answer.
Usually one of three things: the creative wore out with the audience, someone edited the campaign and pushed it back into learning, or the season changed. Costs rising while everything else stayed the same is almost always a creative problem, not a platform problem.
creative fatigue.
The same people have now seen the ad several times. Response falls, cost per result climbs. Check frequency: if it is climbing while results fall, you need a new idea, not a bigger budget.
somebody edited it.
Significant edits to a live ad set — budget jumps, audience changes, new creative swapped in — can push it back into the learning phase, and performance gets unstable again while it relearns.
the calendar moved.
Ramadan, Eid, National and Liberation Day, back to school and the summer travel period all change both what people buy and what it costs to reach them. A drop in July is not the same problem as a drop in October.
- Compare frequency now against the good period.
- Check the change history before blaming the algorithm.
- Look at cost per order, not ROAS alone.
- Have the next creative ready before the current one tires.
